This FAS2000 series offers best-in-class deployment versatility and connectivity to satisfy your data protection, recovery and storage virtualization needs.

Whether for primary or secondary storage, the FAS2000 series' versatility accommodates both large distributed enterprises and Midsize Enterprises by offering integrated block- and file-level data access, intelligent management software, and data protection capabilities in a cost-effective package. More importantly, the FAS2000 series as part of the FAS Family helps maintain a single architecture across all tiers of storage.

This FAS2040 is a 2U rack-mountable storage server in which the system enclosure contains dual controllers and (12) 500GB internal SATA drives for a total capacity of 6TB. In addition, the FAS2040 provides 10/100/1000Base- T Ethernet and 4/2/1 Gigabit Fibre Channel SAN connectivity, along with Dual SAS Ports for adding the NEW DS4243 24-Bay SAS / SATA Disk enclosures.

The FAS2040 is easily expandable up to 136TB and can be clustered internally with an additional controller module (as this system is).
