The F87 offers workgroup solutions for software development, data consolidation, and collaborative applications such as Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange, and other messaging applications. This next-generation workgroup filer has the built-in, feature-rich Data ONTAP micro-kernel and is equipped with a non-volatile memory and flash boot for greater data integrity, performance, and reliability. Data ONTAP and WAFL enable remote location deployments to leverage existing legacy infrastructure, eliminating the need for IT resources in field offices and ensuring low TCO. Easily managed using native NT tools, the F87 offers a comprehensive browser interface or command-line interface, and integrates fast data access and backup and recovery capabilities, providing high-level data management functionality with an appliance sized for smaller workload and capacity requirements.
