This Supermicro Super X7DWU 1600FSB UIO Dual Quad-Core / Dual-Core Xeon 5400 Chipset ServerBoard is ideal for those who desire fast, powerful and highly customizable systems. This server board's UIO/Universal I/O technology allows users to
select from a wide range of I/O options to provide the ultimate
flexibility in storage and networking. When a Supermicro
UIO card is installed in a UIO slot, it becomes a part of the
serverboard, while still allowing the server to retain all of its
PCI-Express and PCI-X slots for expansion cards.
Without a Supermicro UIO card installed, the server board functions
as a complete and optimized server board. Installing a UIO card
provides easy and cost effective upgrades for:
- SAS/SATA RAID 5 & 6
- 4-Port 1 Gbit Ethernet
- 2-Port 10 Gbit Ethernet
- Infiniband
Future upgrades are easy – just replace the Supermicro UIO
card with any one of the multiple expansion cards available.
